The off-road RC car racing scene has changed over the past few years, with turf and carpet racing becoming more popular and grip levels at an all-time high. The engineers inside Team Associated’s Area 51 were quick to answer the 4WD class with the RC10B74 Team Kit, a completely new chassis configuration equipped with a long list of features designed to give you the winning edge.
The engineering continues. The B74.1 platform introduces the use of two separate chassis configurations. The B74.1 will be the buggy of choice for high grip carpet or turf track surfaces with its next-generation Octalock 2-Pad high-load, high-capacity, center slipper clutch and optimized carpet kit setup. The B74.1D is the buggy to choose for clay and dirt track surfaces with an included center differential with 200,000 CST silicone fluid and an optimized dirt kit setup.
Both kits utilize redesigned, low-profile shock towers with shorter shock shafts and bodies to lower the center of gravity, providing more predictable handling. Also included in both kits are new low roll center (LRC) C and D arm mounts, 66mm CVA bones and axles, and 2.0mm G10 fiberglass chassis brace supports, which all add up to making the B74.1 and B74.1D easier to drive, and easier to push hard on all track surfaces.
Setups and tuning parts are interchangeable between the B74.1 and B74.1D. Both versions come with the speed, durability, and lineage expected of a true champion. Choose the configuration that suits your track and conquer the competition!

1:10 scale 2WD off road has been Team Associated’s signature class since the release of the RC10 in 1984. The Team Associated RC10 buggy series has won 13 of the 18 I.F.M.A.R. World Championships contested, yet we never rest on our laurels. As tires, motors, batteries, and tracks evolve, Team Associated adapts and improves with every iteration of the RC10. With the RC10B6.4 project, engineers had the goals of improving jumping and landing, updating the steering feel to be “easy to drive fast,” and making the buggy corner faster on high-grip carpet and clay.
The RC10B6.4 platform continues the trend of offering two kit configurations. Both kits include the next generation 13mm diameter big-bore shocks and springs to provide the ultimate in damping and stability. The larger diameter shocks reduce pressure inside the shock and minimize the effects of the shaft displacement. This allows the buggy to feel like it’s riding on an invisible cloud when you hit harsh jumps and landings. The chassis, front end, and steering system are optimized for running reduced caster and kickup, which excels on high-speed, high-grip surfaces. An updated steering system with adjustable height bellcranks helps racers minimize bumpsteer. In addition, the front suspension is equipped with new -1mm kingpin offset steering and caster blocks for smooth and predictable front-end feel through the entire throw. The -1mm design pushes the steering pivot closer the center of the front tire, keeping the front end flat through the entire steering throw.
Both buggies are equipped with a new chassis layout and ESC weights that allow forward-mounted electronics closer to the servo, as well as additional forward battery placement over the previous model. All of the new weight tuning options allow for more high-speed stability and on-power steering on high grip carpet.

Increased Stability, Traction and Handling with the Mid-Motor DR10M
The mid-motor, 4-gear transmission in the all-new DR10M RC Drag Race car offers the advantage of using motor torque rotation to apply downward force to the rear tires. These forces generate additional rear end squat for that off-the-line acceleration which offers more tire-to-surface area contact, giving the DR10M additional rear traction.
The mid-motor set up up shifts the weight distribution forward, reducing front-end lift. Additionally, the motor and tires share the same rotational direction, which produces quicker forward momentum to help you get a faster time across that finish line.
The DR10M Drag Race Team Kit is based on the successful DR10 drag race platform. The DR10M Team Kit features a rear anti-roll bar, 28 precision ball bearings, fully adjustable suspension, vertical ball ends for roll center adjustments, 2.6:1 ratio gearbox with heavy-duty sealed gear differential, and externally adjustable V2 slipper clutch.
